by D. L. Sletrab Political Corruption Congress is Committed to Spending the Taxpayers into the Poor House November 11, 2008 – Time to wake up Q: Where will it all end? A: In the greatest orgy of government borrowing in recorded history! Nearly everywhere you look, another massive corporation is announcing staggering losses and begging Washington for billions to avoid bankruptcy. BUt banks are still planning to pay bonuses and justify it by saying they don’t want to lose the talent. What good has all that talent done them? CASE STUDY #1 – General Motors: $25 billion wasn’t enough – needs $50 billion more to survive! GM’s sales are down 20% in a year. Its share price is down nearly 90% – from $31.14 a year ago to $3.36 at yesterday’s close. The last time GM stock was this low, Harry Truman was in the White House, and Elvis Presley was in grammar school. And now, analysts are warning that America’s largest automaker may soon be worth zero. Investors have every reason to fear for GM’s survival: Last Friday, GM posted a $2.5 billion net loss for July, August and September, bringing its 2008 losses to $21.3 billion. Worse: Yesterday, [...]

by D. L. Sletrab Corrupt Politicians & Lobbyists Must Go Bank Lobbyists Wrote the Last Bankruptcy Reform Bill It Shows – They are getting hurt by their own bill. November 11, 2008 – The strongest possible form of business regulation is bankruptcy. Let the reform begin. What the treasury is doing is trying to put a feeding tube into a dead man on life support. Pull the tubes out. By the way, roll back the bankruptcy law the Bush Administration and the Congress passed to save the banks from bankruptcy of credit card holders so we can clear out the poison debt and start over. “Democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.” – James Bovard, Source: Lost Rights. The Destruction of American Liberty (St. Martin’s Press: New York, 1994), p. 333 If you had a bag of potatoes with a couple of bad potatoes in it, would you leave the bad potatoes in the bag to infect the rest of them or would you pull them out to save the rest of the good potatoes? The politicians are busy blaming deregulation for the current financial crisis. This is partly [...]

by D.L. Sletrab Political Corruption – Lack of Transparency – Bailout Bill Federal Reserve Refuses to Disclose Borrowers November 10, 2008 – When did the taxpayers authorize secret loans? Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said in September they would comply with congressional demands for transparency in a $700 billion bailout of the banking system. They have not done it yet and to date, we are unable to see what is going on inside the Fed. According to Bloomberg News, they have requested details of the Fed lending under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act and filed a federal lawsuit Nov. 7 seeking to force disclosure. Federal Reserve spokeswoman Michelle Smith declined to comment on the loans or the Bloomberg lawsuit. Treasury spokeswoman Michele Davis didn’t respond to a phone call and an e-mail seeking comment. At a Sept. 23 Senate Banking Committee hearing in Washington, Paulson called for transparency in the purchase of distressed assets under the TARP program. “We need oversight,” Paulson told lawmakers. “We need protection. We need transparency. I want it. We all want it.” At a joint House-Senate hearing the next day, Bernanke also stressed the importance of openness in [...]

by Ron Bartels Political Justice Our Politicians Are Not Paying Attention November 9, 2008 – It is our responsibility to light a fire under the rear ends of our politicians and if we don’t step up to the plate now, we will live to regret our inaction. This is why we are proposing the Fair Access Amendment. No politician who does not support it should get another vote. We ask for the support of our like minded friends who care about what is happening to our nation. If our politicians fail to support and pass the Fair Access Amendment then the people will have no choice but to secede one State at a time and form a nation of Free States. Fair Access Constitutional Amendment Section One: All members of the Senate shall serve from an office within the State they were elected to. The number of Senators will change from 2 per State to 9 per State as follows. There will be three slates of three Senators. Each slate of Senators will serve for the Constitutionally authorized 6 years as they do now. Each slate shall be comprised of the 3 highest vote getters, regardless of [...]

Dear Blue States: Thank you for your letter that I just received. I am very thankful that you let me know about your intention to form your own Blue Country. I have been feeling a little Red as of late. It seems that many of the elections just haven’t been going our way. Since the last Blue Revolution, in 2002, you have made significant progress to reaching your goal. It wasn’t clear until just a couple weeks ago, just what your goal was. It now appears that your Blue candidate has provided us with true insight into his agenda. I was a little Red to find out that you wanted to create a new Blue Socialistic Republic here in the Americas. I consider myself somewhat perceptive, but I have to admit…I didn’t see this one coming. If you had told us, we would have gladly helped your reach your Blue goal of starting your [...]

This is what is wrong with having One-World Globalists in charge of the United States of America. We Americans did not agree to be in charge of the United States of the World, just the United States of America. That is why you will see a rapidly growing secessionist movement to divorce the free-minded States from the United States of America. Look at all the Red States where there is a margin of 4% [...]
