by Ron Bartels, Ph.D. Then buy your taxes back with your vote. The undersigned citizens petition the United States Senate and House of Representatives to suspend all payroll and income taxes, including employer contributions, for one year, and direct employers to remit their share to the employees who earn them. A tax vacation would create the following benefits: 1. Stimulate the economy at its citizen foundation where consumption and savings will promote production and job creation. 2. Eliminate compliance and preparation costs for individuals and businesses. 3. Halt service and enforcement costs for government. 4. Discourage credit expansion and deficit spending to support at great citizen expense the following unnecessary burdens: A. Aggressive worldwide military commitments well in excess of our nation’s defensive needs, including two counter-productive wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; occupations in Europe, Japan, and Korea long after hostilities there have ceased; and more than 700 military bases in foreign lands. B. Bailouts, subsidies, and protections for privileged private corporations, trusts, and associations. 5. Encourage the sale of government businesses that compete against U.S. citizens. These burdensome liabilities require periodic bailouts, regular subsidies, and anti-competitive protections at a net loss to the public. 6. Facilitate and help fund [...]

by Ron Bartels, Ph.D. …But Will It Produce Results or Backfire? Just a small bit of history. There were two (2) depressions in the 20′s, not one as selective historians discuss. The first depression, in 1920 was severe and the government stayed away from any intervention at all. The second one began in 1929 and lasted for years on end as the government intervened just they are doing today. Therefore it is drawing significant concern from many economists who think history may repeat. The Obama Administration has launched a new Website called FinancialStability.gov and have made quite a few press releases about it. However, as of this date, very little is on the site. Here is what we found: Back on Tuesday, February 10th, 2010, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner outlined a comprehensive plan to restore stability to our financial system. In the address, Secretary Geithner discussed the Obama Administration’s strategy to strengthen our economy by getting credit flowing again to families and businesses, while imposing new measures and conditions to strengthen accountability, oversight and transparency in how taxpayer dollars are spent. And Secretary Geithner explained how the financial stability plan will be critical in supporting an effective and lasting economic [...]

Quorum Court Members Meet Conservative Forum Members by Ron Bartels, Ph.D. Rachel Dickerson, a reporter for the Log Cabin Democrat came to the monthly meeting of the Conservative Forum. The forum is open to Democrats, Libertarians, Republicans, Tea Party Members, Constitution Party Members Independents and members of general public. The forum focus is mainly on good government issues that affect Faulkner County residents. NOTE: Conservatives, as a whole tend to favor smaller more efficient government while Liberals tend to favor large less efficient government. Conservatives focus on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (less governmental micromanagement). Liberals seem to focus on less protection for life, less individual liberty in favor of larger government and fewer rights to pursue personal agendas. This month’s meeting was held at the Catfish & More Restaurant on the north side of Conway, Arkansas. The local owned and operated restaurant has an excellent meeting room and top-notch southern cuisine. At this meeting the members of the Quorum Court were invited and many accepted the invitation. The meeting was lively cordial and informative. Attendees at the meeting submitted written questions, which were read to the Quorum Court Members who agreed to answer questions from [...]

However one item was made public this evening. The Quorum Court had received an emergency fund request for the prosecutor’s office in the form of an ordinance by the identification of proposed ordinance 09-08. The prosecutor’s office was requesting $24,000 to fund the hot check office for the 20th Judicial District of Arkansas to pay the rent on the hot check office. Now normally, a citizen would think nothing was wrong with that kind of request, particularly since this had been going on for years. However, after checking out the allegations I discovered some interesting facts that caused me great concern. The office space was being rented from [...]

by Ron Bartels, Ph.D. – Sponsored by Legalzoom and Jurisdictionary Did Food Lobbyists jeapordise our nations’ health? Bromated Flour vs. Iodine and the Tyroid Gland Headaches & Weight Gain? According to Wisegeek, Bromated flour is flour which has been enriched with potassium bromate, a maturing agent which promotes gluten development in doughs. Some commercial bakers use bromated flour because it yields dependable results, and it makes stronger, more elastic dough which can stand up to bread hooks and other commercial baking tools. Home bakers may choose to use it for much the same reason, when they can obtain bromated flour. Ascorbic acid has replaced potassium bromate as a food additive in a number of areas. Potassium bromate is classified as a potential carcinogen, meaning that it may be harmful when consumed. In theory, the substance is supposed to bake out of bread dough as it cooks, but if a residue remains behind in the bread, it could be harmful in the long term. A careful balance is required of manufacturers, since they must add enough of the substance to bromated flour to make it perform as expected while not adding too much. Many flour producers have switched to ascorbic [...]

by Ron Bartels, Ph.D – Sponsored by Legalzoom and Jurisdictionary Additional Spending Will Increase Inflation Index Here are the current numbers from the U.S. Treasury. The nation’s money supply is soaring. Here are the numbers for the past year, as measured by M2. * In January of last year the money supply stood at $7.3 trillion * As of this January the money supply now stands at $8.2 trillion The Fed claims they’re doing this to save the economy. They also claim they’ll be able to withdraw this new money as soon as the economic recovers. They plan to do this buy selling various financial instruments they’ve purchased with their funny money. Then the next step of their plan is to retire the dollars they receive in return for these assets, thereby shrinking the money supply before it causes price inflation. (They know better but this sounds nice to first year economic students and others who do not understand how the financial markets function.) There are only two ways to account for all the overspending, other than bankruptcy. Increased taxation and increased inflation. Due to the huge amount of spending, they will use both tools. Said another way, if [...]

by Ron Bartels The Title Should Correctly Be Entitled: The Obama Social Engineering Plan This bill is not a economic stimulus plan. The bill is packed full of social re-engineering and Corporate Welfare which will just bog down the economy even more. It does not address employment except in very indirect ways, which is probably why Joe Biden says the economy will get worse before it gets better. This bill is a social engineer’s dream bill, which is being rushed through Congress under the guise of economic stimulus. In the House of Representatives, all of the Republicans and many of the Blue Dog Democrats voted against this social slush fund legislation. Much of this bill will have to be revoked later when the American Public awakens to the nightmarish reality that they have a much heavier burden to bare than ever before. This financial impact of this depressing bill will be blamed on Conservatives (177 Republicans and 11 Democrats)though none of them in the house supported the legislation, including the Democratic Party’s Financial Conservatives. This bill is not really a partisan battle so much as it is a battle of competing ideologies. The Nanny State vs. Personal [...]

Delaware County Judge Richard Dailey ruled that because no asset forfeiture judgment was rendered in court, Prosecutor Mark McKinney is not entitled to attorney’s fees. In one case cited where more than $50,000 was seized by the Muncie-Delaware County Drug Task Force, McKinney paid himself $4,193 in legal fees and took 25% of the value of seized property auctioned off. He faces an investigation by a special prosecutor to see if he committed any crime with his handling of drug forfeitures, as well as a misconduct complaint filed with the Indiana Supreme Court disciplinary commission.
by Ron Bartels Criminal Justice - Why Do I Have To Micro-Manage Irresponsibility? November 22, 2008 – The War on Drugs is a Prime Example of a group of irresponsible people attempting to micromanage a group of irresponsible people at the expense of responsible people. The Bailout is another Prime Example of the same thing. One more Prime Example is our Penal System. They are called correction systems but they are not “as advertised,” as the statistics prove. It is time to consider who is transferring all this responsibility from one person to another and what may be motivating them to do it. Could we say that the folks who create many of these so called “do good laws” and “regulations” are themselves irresponsible? Of course we could say that so let us examine the premise to see if the concept self-validates. First, we will examine these three Prime Examples to see where our “rules” and “regulations” may foster irresponsibility. Then we will examine the “rule makers,” aka lawmakers, and the “regulation makers, aka bureaucrats.” Let me preface these remarks and this report by saying that I will make it your responsibility to come to your own conclusions. It would [...]

America Needs to Return to Manufacturing Health Again November 21, 2008 – The Big Three Auto Manufacturers see the long line of other industries getting government bailouts, and wonders why not jump in and get some before it all runs out? We hear the the requests of the Big Three car makers and wonder, why? The Big Three Have Nothing New To Offer – But They Want Money For It! We Have An Answer For Them Here In This Article! Democratic leaders in Congress crafted a plan to fork over $25 billion to Detroit, above and beyond the $25 billion in loans the government already committed to help the Big Three make more fuel-efficient cars. The problem with that is that is it really a UAW Bailout and will do more harm than good. The Big Three need to go through Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code so they can reorganize and level the playing field with foreign Manufacture of automobiles. While the big three are in chapter 11, Congress can sanction recapitalization and the following tax law changes. Eliminate All Income Tax & Capital Gains Taxes on the Auto Industry Replace [...]

by D.L. Sletrab Medical Justice – Medical Marijuana Chemical in Marijuana May Prevent Breast Cancer From Spreading November 19, 2008 – One of the non-psychoactive chemical that occurs naturally in the marijuana plant may prevent breast cancer from spreading, according to a study published in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics. Researchers found that a chemical called cannabidiol (CBD) affects the activity of a gene known as Id-1 in patients with hormone-independent breast cancer. In embryos, Id-1 is responsible for helping cells grow and spread, but is supposed to remain inactive in adults. In human adults, it is found only in metastatic cancer cells, or cancer cells that are spreading throughout the body. “When the Id-1 genes wake up, they are very bad,” said senior researcher Pierre Yves-Desprez. “They push the cells to behave like embryonic cells and grow. They go crazy, they proliferate, they migrate.” That is why this discovery is so important. Whether or not these non-addictive compounds find their way into the body in a beneficial way is yet to be discovered so stay tuned. The current research indicates the substance needs to concentrated to have full effect. According to Desprez, shutting off the activity of Id-1 can [...]

by Ron Bartels Financial Security at Risk – Government Spending – Economic Education Education About Hyper Inflation Can Help You Prepare November 15, 2008 – According to a little read report, dated April 8, 2008, Hyperinflation will be returning very soon. It could be worse than the Jimmy Carter Inflation Period – a Lot Worse. Here is why. The Government is spending way more money than it can reasonably recover in the next 100 years. If the government does not balance the budget by regulation then the market will balance the budget by inflation because the over spending of money decreases the value of that money. You simply can’t get something for nothing in a natural way. Only by an un-natural way can spending like this takes place. The consequences will be severe this time because the over spending has been severe. “The U.S. has no way of avoiding a financial Armageddon. Bankrupt sovereign states most commonly use the currency printing press as a solution to not having enough money to cover their obligations. The alternative would be for the U.S. to renege on its existing debt and obligations, a solution for modern sovereign states rarely seen outside of governments overthrown [...]

by D.L. Sletrab Political Corruption Is Now Headed for the Whitehouse The Community Organizer organized the housing crisis and in his own words admits it on this video: Please view and comment below after watching the video. There is no justice when common since regulations are changed to unqualified people could get loans they couldn’t pay. All in the name of affirmative action. “What should have been done and still must be done is to raise the standards and teach people how to meet those standards,” says Ron Bartels. Until we do this our country will remain in a financial mess. This is why we need the following three solutions as soon as possible: Fair Access Amendment Fair Tax Act Read The Bill Act Please consider joining our small group of investigative writers. You can research and write in your spare time and share the advertising revenue. We are also considering investors who would like to be paid off the top from all incoming revenues instead of the typical business model of “if there is any profit, we will share it with you unless we vote to keep it.” “If you’re threatened with a lawsuit and can’t afford a lawyer [...]
